Clean Mind. Healthy Body. Full Spirit.
Howdy y’all,
For me, a clean mind, healthy body, and full spirit aren’t optional — they’re the foundation of a life that feels content and fulfilling. These principles don’t magically erase pain, but they give us a way to handle life’s struggles with balance.
The truth is, living by them isn’t easy. It took me years of stumbling, failing, and trying, again. And what I’ve learned is this: there’s no one-size-fits-all path. You can’t control everything, but you can control how you think, how you treat yourself, and what you choose to believe in.
Let’s break it down.
A Clean Mind
A clean mind means clearing out the toxic, self-defeating thoughts that creep in:
“I’m not good enough. I don’t deserve this. Life isn’t fair. People don’t care about me.”
Sure, sometimes those thoughts point to something real we need to face — but 99% of the time, they’re lies that paralyze us.
As kids, we’re taught the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. But somewhere along the way, we forget the flip side — to treat ourselves with that same kindness. I’ve fallen into that trap more times than I can count, and it took practice to break the cycle.
At the end of the day, only you control how you speak to yourself. A clean mind starts with that choice.
A Healthy Body
This one looks different for everyone. For some, fitness comes easy; for others, health battles are out of their control. But there’s one thing we all do control — what we put into our bodies and how we care for them.
A healthy body doesn’t mean six-pack abs or a supermodel’s figure. It means being conscious of what fuels you, paying attention to your needs, and taking steps that keep you strong enough to live the life you want.
You don’t have to look like the guys from 300 or a beauty queen. You just have to do right by yourself, day in and day out.
A Full & Open Spirit
An open spirit means believing there’s something bigger than yourself. A full spirit means living with purpose because of that belief.
For many, that’s faith in God through religion. For others, it’s nature, the universe, or something deeply personal. I even knew a guy in rehab who called his doorknob his higher power — and believe me, he wasn’t crazy. It worked for him.
The point is this: life without any sense of meaning beyond yourself is hard. I’ve tried it. Faith, in whatever form it takes, is a choice that only you control. And when you embrace it, it shapes how you treat yourself and how you treat others.
The Balance
Clean mind. Healthy body. Full spirit. Three principles, endlessly personal, but universally powerful.
They’re not quick fixes, and they’re not always easy. But if you keep working at them, they can make life feel lighter, kinder, and more meaningful.
So here’s my challenge to you: take one of these — mind, body, or spirit — and ask yourself today: What’s one small thing I can do to move closer to balance?
Because the honest conversation always starts with you.
Remember : We are on this rock TOGETHER, whether we like it or not :) Love each other, lift each other up, and make sure to keep life Eazy. Much Love.
